Helpful tips on determining the correct Cute Slings size:
- Sizes run big so if you are in between a size, size down.
- Use a soft tape measure to measure from one shoulder across to the opposite hip.
If you ordered a Cute Slings & you don't think you have the right size:
- The bottom of the sling should be no lower than 4 inches below your belly button.
- If it hangs much lower you need a smaller size.
- If the sling slides off your shoulder than you need a smaller size.
- Your Cute Slings should fit snug but if it is SUPER hard to get your baby in or out then you need a bigger size.
- If your sling is not comfortable then you probably need a different size.
- Your baby should ride as high & as tight as possible to center their weight & to maximize your comfort.
- A lot of people think they have a sling that is too small when it is actually the correct size!
- It should feel secure enough to be hands free!
If you have any questions regarding this or you need help finding your size please send me an email. Please include your height, weight, bra size & shoulder to hip measurement.
Helpful suggestions for first timers:
- Wearing your baby is very easy and may take practice to place your baby comfortably and securely inside your Cute Sling.
- For the first time using your Cute Sling, make sure your baby is rested and fed so she/he is in a good mood and ready to try something new.
- Most babies get used to the sling easier if you keep moving.
| GETTING STARTED |
- Fold the pouch inside itself to make a pocket.
- Decide which shoulder you would like the sling to rest on and slip it over your head onto your shoulder.
- The folded edge will be toward you and the open edges will face away from you.
- The curved seam (where the pocket is) should be in the front, lined up with your belly button.
- Slide baby in and enjoy!

| CRADLE CARRY - Newborn to 6 Months |
The above is the easiest way to slide in your newborn.
- This position is best for newborns and smaller infants (normally until 4-5 months).
- Hold your baby onto your shoulder as if you were going to burp them.
- With your other hand, pull the front layer of fabric out to open the pocket and lower your baby into it.
- If they are tiny, their legs can be right up against your side or you can cross their legs for added comfort. Now they are ready to snuggle and most likely fall fast asleep. Perfect for colicky babies!
- If you want to breastfeed your baby, pull the outside fabric up until the inside fabric is as low as you want it. When breastfeeding a bigger baby his feet can hang out like in the tummy to tummy hold.
Always make sure your baby’s nose & mouth are not smothered in your chest.

| ANOTHER WAY TO SLIDE YOUR BABY IN |
| EJECTING |
| KANGAROO CARRY |
- Using the arm that the sling is resting on; lift your baby up in a sitting position w/their legs crossed.
- His back will be up against your chest (to the side that the sling is on) and your hand will be under his thighs.
- Open your pocket with the other hand and slide your baby down into the pocket, sitting cross-legged in the front or over to the side.
- Pull the front fabric up to make it snug and to make full use of the entire pocket. His arms can hang out or be tucked in for a cozier feel.
TIP: If it feels like the baby is leaning towards one side, you can move him into a better position by placing your hand under his butt and slightly rotating him. Until you get the hang of this you might want to take him out and try again until it feels right.

| TUMMY TO TUMMY (SNUGGLE HOLD) - 3+ Months |
- Bring your baby up onto your opposite shoulder as if you were patting for a burp.
- Use your other hand to hold out ALL of the fabric and guide his legs down (he should not be in the pocket yet).
- Pull the pocket open and lower his bottom into it like a seat.
- The inside layer (padded) should be under his knees and the outside layer should be pulled up his back under or over his arms.
TIP: This position comes in EXTREMELY handy when your baby is asleep in the car and you need to run in somewhere. He can continue to sleep up against you and then be placed back in his car seat to continue his nap!
| HIP CARRY |
Follow the same instructions as the Snuggle Hold but rotate the pocket seam onto your side and place the baby in onto your hip. |
| BACK CARRY |
- When your baby is in the Hip Carry, all you need to do is slide the sling around to your back. He stays in place and only the sling moves around.
- Doing a shoulder flip on the Back Carry will bring him in closer to you.
| ADJUSTMENT TIP |
Although the pouch sling is not adjustable, it is possible to tighten the outside layer by doing a "shoulder flip." Grab the top layer of fabric and pull it over and down your shoulder. This is used mostly in Snuggle and Hip Carry position to bring your baby in closer to you.
